As the month of April draws to a close, and with Covid-19 restrictions relaxed, the entertainment circuit continues to be abuzz with much live activity. The doors of major show venues are now open to all and patrons have been flocking to Lord Kitchener and Sundar Popo auditoriums at NAPA, Port-of-Spain, and SAPA, San Fernando, respectively, and the very popular Kafe Blue, behind SWWTU Hall, on Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain.

Come Wednesday, April 27, after more than two years of no live entertainment activity, the Playa del Estate Resort in Salybia opens its doors for Kairi People's RUNAWAY all-inclusive party. Expected to perform are D'All Starz Band, under the musical direction of Carlyle "Juiceman" Roberts. This gig is very significant for D'All Starz as it's the band's first performance since losing its lead frontline artiste Blaxx. D'All Starz will be unveiling its new lead vocalist on Wednesday.


Super Blue

Point Fortin Borough Celebration 2022 has begun and on Friday 29 A Taste of Borough will be held at the Guapo/Clifton Hill Beach Resort, at 6 p.m.

Staying in Point Fortin on April 29, at Mama's Yard, on Boodoo Street. Children of the '80s will celebrate SuperBlue receiving the Hummingbird Medal (Gold), at 8 p.m. Its cast includes Mistah Shak, Kevon Cupid, Shakeela and more.

On Saturday 30, Pan Trinbago's Eastern Region will stage Pan For The People, at Cushe Government Primary School, from 4 p.m. Expected to evoke memories of the critically acclaimed Pan in De Countryside series of Pan Trinbago Inc rural, open air shows, steelbands billed to perform include First Citizen Supernovas, Melodians, Fascinators Pan Symphony and Pan on the Move. Also on the cast is Augmented.


Karene Asche

Wendell Ian Moreau is hosting Bueno Kaiso 2022 virtually on the WACK Network, on April 30, 7 p.m. Aside from Moreau, the cast includes Karene Asche, Brian London, Sexy Suzie, Juby, Meguella Simon and others.

As far entertainment is concerned, April was just a small taste of things to come for the rest of 2022.
