In a remarkable display of lyrical prowess and stage presence, Helon Francis has been crowned the 2025 Calypso Monarch. Performing ninth in the lineup, Francis captivated the audience and judges with his rendition of "To Whom It May Be," securing the prestigious title and a cash prize of $700,000, along with a brand new KGM Torres vehicle.

The competition, held at the Queen's Park Savannah during the Dimanche Gras night, featured a stellar lineup of calypsonians, including the defending champion Machel Montano, who delivered a commendable performance but did not secure a top position this year.

The 2025 Calypso Monarch competition not only highlighted the diverse cultural heritage of Trinidad and Tobago but also showcased the evolving nature of calypso, as finalists traditional rhythms with contemporary themes.
