New Leadership: Prime Minister Stuart Young &Attorney General Camille Robinson-Regis

Stuart Young has been sworn in as the 8th Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, succeeding Dr. Keith Rowley, who retired after 45 years in public service.  The swearing-in ceremony took place at the President's House, with President Christine Kangaloo administering the oath of office. ​


Stuart Young, previously serving as the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, has been a Member of Parliament for Port-of-Spain North/St. Ann's West since 2015.  His ascension to the role of Prime Minister marks a new chapter in the nation's leadership.​

Concurrently, Camille Robinson-Regis has been appointed as the new Attorney General. Robinson-Regis, an experienced politician and attorney-at-law, has held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Planning and Development. ​


These appointments are part of a broader cabinet reshuffle following Dr. Rowley's retirement, signaling a new direction for Trinidad and Tobago's governance.
