Machel Montano has been crowned the 2025 Road March Champion with his electrifying hit, "Pardy." This victory marks Montano's 11th Road March title, tying him with the legendary Aldwyn "Lord Kitchener" Roberts for the most wins in the competition's history. ​


Dominating the Streets

"Pardy" resonated profoundly with masqueraders and spectators alike, becoming the anthem of Carnival 2025. According to the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO), "Pardy" was played 267 times at official judging points, narrowly edging out Ian "Bunji Garlin" Alvarez's "Carry It," which amassed 253 plays. ​


An Emotional Milestone

Upon receiving news of his latest accolade, Montano expressed deep emotion, reflecting on his journey and the significance of equaling Lord Kitchener's record. He remarked on the dedication required to reach such heights and the honor of creating music that uplifts and energizes the people. ​

  • Five Soca Monarch titles

  • One Calypso Monarch title

  • One Chutney Soca Monarch title

This latest Road March victory elevates his total to 18 major titles, surpassing Austin "Superblue" Lyons, who holds 17. ​
